Alfred Freddoso is John and Jean Oesterle Chair of Thomistic Studies in the Philosophy Department at the University of Notre Dame.  He is a specialist in metaphysics and ethics within the Catholic intellectual tradition, as well as in various aspects of the relation of faith and reason and in principles of Catholic higher education. His latest major scholarly  project is to produce a new translation of St. Thomas Aquinas’s Summa Theologiae.
