TIC Theological Lecture Series, Lecture 5: “Philosophy, Grace, and the Original Sin: What’s Wrong with the World?”
Dr. Fulvio Di Blasi, Director of the Thomas International Center
343 E Six Forks Road, Suite 130, Raleigh, NC 27609
In preparation for making our first video courses available online in January, Fulvio Di Blasi will lead a series of six lectures for our supporters spanning central theological topics. The fifth of these will focus on “Philosophy, Grace, and the Original Sin: What’s Wrong with the World?”
The original sin is a crucial part of Christian Revelation. It cannot be reduced to a myth or to something mostly insignificant in our daily lives. Indeed, there is a sense in which the original sin, even before being a supernatural truth revealed by God, is a philosophical truth profoundly present in human ordinary existence. This class focuses on the original sin from the viewpoint of the more general relation between God, the human beings, and the entire creation.
DR. FULVIO DI BLASI IS AN INTERNATIONALLY RENOWNED SCHOLAR IN THE FIELD OF MORAL PHILOSOPHY, NATURAL LAW THEORY, AND THOMISTIC PHILOSOPHY. HE IS FOUNDER AND PRESIDENT OF THE THOMAS INTERNATIONAL PROJECT, PRESIDENT OF THE THOMAS INTERNATIONAL ASSOCIATION IN ITALY, AND DIRECTOR OF THE THOMAS INTERNATIONAL CENTER IN RALEIGH, NC.
