Space and time are fascinating and stimulating subjects that constitute a very good opportunity for focusing on how rationally sound philosophical arguments should be developed. They also provide an interesting arena for comparing the insights of classical philosophy with contemporary science and our current understanding of the world.
The concept of time is very similar to the concept of space. Instead of “Where?” time relates to the question “When?” Aristotle and Saint Augustine (but also Bergson, Husserl, and Heidegger) both connected the existence of time to the existence of the soul. Does this make sense? Is it compatible with contemporary science? Is time traveling possible?
